These are great!  I wonder which one of you is gonna have enough ku-hoo-nas to use these!!!

Responses to Lousy Pick Up Lines

When a man says: “Haven’t I’ve seen you someplace before?” The appropriate response is: “Yes, that’s why I don’t go there anymore.”

When man says : “Is this seat empty?” The appropriate response is: “Yes, and if you sit there, this one will be empty, too.”

When a man says: “Your place or mine?” The appropriate response is: “Both. You go to yours, and I’ll go to mine.”

When a man says: “So, what do you do for a living?” The best response is: “I’m a female impersonator.”

When a man says: “I would go to the end of the world for you.” The appropriate response is: “But would you stay there?”

HAHA!  LOL!!  Enjoy!

Thanks Jack Pyles for sending me this pic.  Totally need to make this into a bumper sticker!!!

Also, here are some pics of the bookcase that I told you about that I was painting.  It’s got one more day to dry (now moved to the inside of the house) and then I can start stacking that baby up!

Well I hope you all have had a good weekend so far!  Getting ready for travel or a big Thanksgiving meal… enjoy every second of it!  Life is too short.  I need to keep telling myself that.  Don’t let the little things get to you, seriously.  We are all here for a reason, so share with everyone the best part of YOU!  Jack Pyles (our weekend guy) sent me an email message which said this “Kindness is the language the blind can see and the deaf can hear.”  I need to lipstick that one on the mirror!  Thank you Jack!

This weekend I gave myself another project.  You know me and projects… I bought a bookcase from Wood You Furniture on Woodruff Rd.  I love buying unfinished pieces and painting them myself.  I take pride in that.  I have done a few pieces like that already for our home.  Now the bookcase!  I should have taken pics from the get go, but I do have these to share with you!  I have two coats of clear coat to put on and then the project will be complete… and we can get rid of our seriously dilapidated cheapy bookcase we’ve got now!  Oh, by the way, if you would like to do something like this, I would go to Wood You Furniture now, they are having big sales!  Or if you have any questions, just email me and I will help you out.  sbartro@entercom.com Now, I’m no expert, but let’s give it a try!

I will get pictures up for you.  I am still learning how to use my phone and sending/saving pics.  I need to convert them to jpegs before I can get them up on the site for you!

Have a wonderful day!

christmascard

The American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes Inc. are teaming up to deliver holiday cards to service members, their families and veterans, many of whom will be far from home this holiday season. Now in its third year, the Holiday Mail for Heroes program provides Americans with the opportunity to extend holiday greetings and thanks to service members and veterans between November 2 and December 7.

The Red Cross will utilize hundreds of volunteers to sort and box cards for delivery to service men and women, veterans and family members in November and December.

Holiday cards should be addressed and sent to:

Holiday Mail for Heroes

P.O. Box 5456

Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456

Please be sure to affix adequate postage.  Cards must be received no later than December 7.  Cards received after this date will be returned to senders.  For reasons of processing and safety, participants are asked to refrain from sending “care packages,” monetary gifts, using glitter or including any inserts with the cards.

Visit Redcross.org/holidaymail for a full list of recommended guidelines and best practices on the Holiday Mail for Heroes program.

I’m sure you were not surprised that we started playing Christmas songs so early…it’s like a Magic tradition to begin the holidays very early…this year, we have added many new versions of the Christmas songs that I think make us stand out over all of the rest of the radio stations.  So , let me be the first to wish you a very happy holiday season and thanks for listening to Magic….Lee

Flag

I did this today, I hope you will too!

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING  REALLY NEAT!    It takes less than a minute to participate!

If you go to this web site, http://www.letssaythanks.com  you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!!    It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?    Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.

This takes just 10 seconds and it’s a wonderful way to say thank you.    Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do.  We can never say enough thank you’s.

Thanks for taking to time to support our military!
