Not since 9/11 has a tragedy affected me like what we are seeing from the earthquake in Haiti….the American Red Cross still needs your dollars to continue assisting the victims of the disaster. I love it! Already getting encouragement!
Even though I worked this past weekend…I still had time to enjoy the company of friends celebrating the birthday of Roberta….not just on Friday night but a pizza party on Saturday night…then of course, I enjoyed the playoff games on Sunday. Hope you and your family had a good one too…be sure to listen all week on the Totally’s 80’s Lunch from Noon til one for an opportunity to win sneak peak movie tickets for Shutter Island beginning in February…..Lee
So I FINALLY got all my Nutri System meals in. I was supposed to recieve them here at work… but they came to the house. When I was pulling out of the garage this morning, I just happened to notice the HUGE box sitting on the doorstep. That’s the thing with garages… we never use the front door unless we know company is expected. Hmm.
Anyway, I got all my 140 meals and I will begin My Nutri System on Monday. This weekend I will bring the flip camera home so I can show you what’s inside the box. I’m excited! I really want to be able to lose 20-25 pounds… and I really want myself to do well on the Nutri System Lifestyle Change.
There’s other things I want to get taken care of in my life, but definitely want to get this weight thing under control first. Then all the other things just might fall into place. It really is something, when you feel good about yourself, everything else doesn’t seem so dramatic or serious. Self Esteem is very important, very important. That’s not to say you have to be conceited or arrogant to feel good about yourself. A sense of inner satisfaction will do. When you have that, it makes for pleasant days ahead.

Tonight on most network and cable t.v. networks…there will be a telethon called Hope for Haiti Now and will feature some great performers like Cold Play, Dave Matthews, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Stevie Wonder and many others. I do hope you will tune in a make a contribution to help the thousands of people that have been affected by the devastating earthquake in Haiti…you can also purchase the performances thru I-Tunes tomorrow(Saturday) with all the proceeds going to the relife effort…thanks….Lee
A friend of mine that works for our sister station, B93.7, attends Life Point Church, who has a person who runs a rescue/shelter in Haiti. Here’s where you come in to help!
Life Point will be collecting new or used clothing to bring to the Haiti Rescue/Shelter. If you are cleaning out your closets… or have been waiting for the right time to do so… please consider donating your clothes to the people of Haiti. The dropoff location is Ambassador’s International on the corner of Wade Hampton Blvd. and Chick Springs Road (by Henry’s Smokehouse). Drop off hours Mon.-Fri. 9a-5p. Please bag the clothes.
