If you made any new year’s resolutions, are you sticking to them….I made a few and they all have to do with eating better in 2011.  Let me share a few of them with you..first of all avoid impulse ordering at a restaurant…say yes to water and no to bread…if its deep fried, don’t order it…share a main course with a friend and sometimes  just have an appetizer in place of an entree.  Maybe these ideas will work for you too….have a great new year….Lee

With all thats been going on with the snow and ice for the last week, I think we are all a little fuzzy on what day it is…some folks didn’t get back to work until yesterday and I’m sure had a bad case of cabin fever.  Well, the forecast for the weekend is for milder temperatures and thats good because it’ll melt alot of the ice that is still on less traveled roads like the ones in my neighborhood.  Since Monday is a holiday, hopefully you have the day off so just tune in Magic 98.9…..I’ll be right here with your favorite songs…take care and be careful on the icy surfaces……Lee

I would still be at home today if it were not for Ed McDade, an engineer here at the radio station…my neighborhood which is very hilly is socked in with ice on roads and everything else..no way to get my car out.  We’ve had some snow storms before but its been a while since we have had one that has shut down just about everything for so long….so just stay in until road conditions get better and thats not expected until maybe late Thursday or Friday…keep in touch….Lee

Over the years , I have become a fan of American Idol and this year promises to be a somewhat new experience….There’s been lots  of talk about which of the new judges will be stepping into the “Simon” and “Paula” roles, so I guess we’ll find out early on about that one…in the meantime , other changes include an updated set, faster elimination, online voting, original songs, theme week makeovers, possible music videos and faster music releases…oh by the way, Randy says there’ll be some change with him as well…tune in for the beginning of the new season of Idol in a couple of weeks…Lee

Ater taking some time off during the holidays, its so good to be back on Magic 98.9.  Hope you and your family and friends had a really great Christmas and New Years celebration.  As we begin a new year, 2011 sounds hard to say, I have come up with a few things I’d like to do better 2011, so here goes…….Read more articles and books, be a better listener, learn something new, spend more time with my family and friends, organize things better and set aside a little more time for myself….there you go..hope I will be able  to keep them.  Would love to hear from you if you’re planning on any resolutions for the new year….best wishes and thanks for being a loyal listener to my show…Lee
