You all know how much I love the Greenville Humane Society!  That is where John and I got our first dog, Tink 6 years ago!  What a great dog she is!

Well last night the GHS had there annual fundraiser, Sips for Snips at Saffron’s Sidewalk Cafe in downtown Greenville.  Just a fabulous spot and great food!  We had live music with JJ & The Kid (love this band!) and had some WONDERFUL silent auction items, in which I won a couple!  (Pics below)

A very special thanks to our wonderful local supporters of the Greenville Humane Society:  Pilot Freight Services, Ameco, Erwin-Penland, Smith Moore Leatherwood Attorneys at Law, The Peoples National Bank and Thomas Creek Brewery.

All in all, just a fabulous night.  Last year 125 tickets sold… this year 286 tickets!  So good!  Thank you so much for supporting our Greenville Humane Society.

Here is one of the items I won in the silent auction.  I LOVE THIS CAT!!!  Made of wood and from Go Fish.  It got a little heated, there was a definite bidding war going on between another lady and I.  Don’t worry though, she didn’t walk away empty handed, she won a very nice hide-a-way bed for her cat.

Here is another piece I won.  Created by Artist Kim Ronin who is also a very involved volunteer for the Greenville Humane Society:

My beautiful flowers in this pic are from Kim Pittman and Rhonda Lund who work at the GHS.  Those girls are great!  Here is a close up of the painting.

Please, next year, don’t miss out on Sips for Snips to benefit the Spay and Neuter Clinic of the Greenville Humane Society.  It truly is a wonderful time.  And if you every need a spot to host a party, definitely call on Saffron’s Sidewalk Cafe!  864-241-0401.

Here she is… FOXY for $79.50 from the Greenville Humane Society.  864-242-3626

Foxy is a Mountain Feist.  She’s got some Hound in her, and she is excited about life!  She really is playful, but then again, all two year olds are playful.  She really is in need of a loving caring home with family members that would love to play with her.  So sad, her owner passed away.  She is house trained and already been altered.

She’s full grown, so here Foxy is in all her glory!

Please don’t forget to join me THURSDAY, MARCH 11 AT SAFFRON’S SIDEWALK CAFE IN DOWNTOWN GREENVILLE.  It’s the Sips for Snips benefit for the Greenville Humane Society.  There will be appetizers, drinks, live music and a silent auction!   Tickets are ONLY $35 and all the money benefits the GHS Spay & Neuter Clinic.  Click here to get your tickets now!

Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation.

Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich,  begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says,  ‘Kin ya swallar?’

The woman shakes her head no.
Then he asks, ‘Kin ya breathe?’
The woman begins to turn blue and shakes her head no.

The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue.

The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm and the obstruction flies out of her mouth.   As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table.

His partner says, ‘Ya know, I’d heerd of that there ‘Hind Lick Maneuver’ but I ain’t niver seed nobody do it!’

Hello there!

I’m sorry, I don’t have a video update of my Nutri System progress for you.  I didn’t like what I saw on the scale this morning, but I do believe I am carrying some water weight.  You ladies know what I’m talking about!  I will do a video update tomorrow.  Although, my boss, who’s been out on baby leave, says that I looked slimmer today!  That’s always nice.

Had a fairly nice weekend.  My husband and I were having a discussion last night that just resonated with me, so I have to share.  We were talking about how selfish we all can be.  Sometimes each of us focus on one thing.  Something that we want or need to have happen for us.  We focus soley on that (which may never come) and in the meantime we miss out on 10 other things that have happened that could potentially bring as much (if not more) happiness.  I started listing off all these things that I knew were happening in my friends lives… and where am I?  Selfishly focusing on one thing.  Kind of a wake up call for me, my husband, and perhaps you.

Not trying to be preachy, but influential.  Think about it.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I do appreciate it.

Hello there.  It’s been a while since I’ve hopped on the ole blog here.  I’m apologize.  I was not feeling my best last week.  Monday started with sneezing and such and by last Thursday, I was just down and out and could barely move.  Thank goodness for Thera Flu and Jack Pyles who filled in for me that day.  Boy oh boy, did I need the rest.  I stayed in bed all day, didn’t get up till about 4:30-5:00pm.  That really is the best thing, rest.

Last night I went out dinner and then saw Shutter Island with Leonardo Dicaprio (number 1 at the Box Office this past weekend.)  Fantastic movie.  Leonardo is one of the THE BEST actors in my opinion.  I know a bunch of guys really had a distaste for him when Titanic came out, but with every film, he gets better and better.  So convincing on the big screen.  Honestly.  I say go see Shutter Island.  It is rated R and there is some language, but it will keep you on the edge of your seat, it’s a thriller.  Not so much scare you to death, depending on what you view as scary.  The Ring is a scary movie for me.  I couldn’t sleep after watching that movie.  My husband John thought Shutter Island was scary.  The difference is, Shutter Island happens in real life.  The Ring does not.  Got it?

One more thing.  (So much to catch up on) I went over to the Greenville Humane Society yesterday to buy some supplies.  Best place for supplies.  And when I went in, I saw pins and magnets sitting on the counter top!  Here is one of the pins I bought.

P1050589    P1050595

I bought another pin and a magnet for the fridge.  WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THESE PINS AND MAGNETS, one of the ladies who works at GHS, her 5 year old daughter makes them!  The money goes to benefit the GHS!  I couldn’t resist.  Spectacular.  I’m gonna buy some more and give them as gifts.  They are just too cute and only $3.

And, I’m a numbnuts.  I didn’t record correctly with my Flip Camera outside the Greenville Humane Society yesterday, but I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to Alexa on her adoption!  I met Alexa and her Mom in front of GHS yesterday just after they adopted Scoobie.  (Mom works at Upstate Plastic Surgery)  I asked Alexa why she decided to adopt Scoobie and she said “because he’s big and he looked lonely.”  Well, Alexa, you have just adopted one of your greatest friends with many a fun day ahead.  Thank you for loving and taking care of Scoobie!

Zack is one of our sales guys here at Magic.  Tomorow is his birthday, so the sales department decided to celebrate today and give Zack his birthday present.  Zack is a jokester.  Zack is hysterical… and often at others expense.

Not this time… click here to see!

HA!  Really, we all love Zack.  Never a cloud in the sky with him!

Today is Wet Nose Wednesday!  See who’s up for adoption!  Video is on the homepage in the “Magic Videos” player.

Holy Moly the wind is WILD today!  I was at Costco this morning filling the gas tank… I don’t know how the brids do it, even if they are only crows.  I was watching a crow trying to keep himself steady while perched on a flimsy branch at the top of a tree.  Just amazing.  I was thinking, man, if I were him (or her) I would get closer to the ground.  Too cold, and heck, I may get blown off this thing.  God sure wonderful.  Still, don’t you think they think to themselves, ”dang, it’s cold.”

What did you think of Ellen on American Idol last night?  I liked her.  She’s funny.  I just like Ellen Degeneres over all.  Did you hear that Fox went to Howard Stern to talk about him replacing Simon Cowell?!?!  No way.  If Howard Stern steps out onto that panel next year… I am not watching.  He’s filthy and should not be rewarded with such a high profile wholesome reality show seat.

AI on again tonight, second round in Hollywood.  Group performances tonight!

I was routing for the Colts.  Good thing I didn’t do any betting!  What in the world happened to Peyton?  He just lost it at the end there.  I am happy though that the Saints, first time in the big game, they won!  Good game… and good food.  I jumped head first into temptation and now I’m paying for it.

It’s bound to happen from time to time.  I just get back to how I should be eating and hopefully that pound (… or little more :0)  ) will be off in no time!

Not mmuch going on right now. I just wanted to pop in and say hello. Here’s the funny thing though,h, very strange… I am typing these words, but they are not appearing on the screen while I type. All I see is the cursor moving, but no words show up on the screen. HA! That’s funny! So, if I have messed up the typing here, it makes is hard to correct as I can’t see the words. Oh wow, I need something corky like this to make me smile.

Ha!  After I published this post, then the words showed up.  I’m gonna make correcitons now.  Noooo, I decided to leave just as is.  Then you can see how I messed up!

Now I am videotaping to show to show the proof!
